Blurb For Miranda’s Dilemma
Erotic Historical Romance ~
Courtesan/Non-virginal Heroine
Poised to become Mayfair’s most expensive and exclusive courtesan, Miss Miranda Jones finds her
rise inexplicably blocked by a socially powerful nobleman. Scorned by her ducal father and determined to attain everything that life has denied her due to an accident of birth, she’s not about to let this arrogant earl stop her.
Adrian Sutherland, the Earl of Danvers, saw his father destroyed by a heartless, predatory courtesan. He has no time or patience for such exotic, expensive ladybirds. He’s far too busy restoring his family’s wealth and reputation whilst doing what he can to protect his friends from the clutches of all the scheming courtesans of London.
Then a moment of compassion turns intense dislike to breathless passion, and these two strong-willed, fiercely proud people are compelled to indulge in a brief affair. Each is convinced that they can satisfy their craving for the other without emotional risk.
But neither realizes that a little dalliance can be a dangerous thing.
Reader Advisory: This is an erotic historical romance and it contains frank, frequent love scenes, sexual slang and descriptions and general bedchamber naughtiness. The characters discuss abuse issues from their backstories during the course of their developing relationship.
Blurb for A Most Demanding Mistress:
Miss Miranda Jones is indisputably the most beautiful, elegant and sought after courtesan in all of London. She hides a past full of pain and rejection beneath an exterior of pride. She knows that noblemen put their own fickle interests first and cannot be trusted. Scorned by ducal father, she never needed or expected anything from a man, except his financial support. Luxurious living makes a soothing balm against the sting of the ultimate rejection.
Now she’s madly in love with a nobleman who cannot afford to keep her in such extravagant style. And she wonders if a courtesan can ever afford to indulge her own passions? Can she really gamble so capriciously on her own future and put the happiness of the moment above future security? Will her gentleman prove himself no better than any other nobleman that she has known?
Adrian Sutherland, the Earl of Danvers, has seen the men of his family destroyed through their obsessive need to possess beautiful women. He’d always thought himself immune to such unworthy drives. Now he’s fallen under the spell of Miss Miranda Jones.
Miss Jones’ high standards and past reputation foretells that she’ll be a most demanding mistress. Despite his relative lack of funds, Adrian is
determined to work hard to protect and provide for her. Passion led this skeptical gentleman to declare himself in love. Yet as they enter a protector and mistress relationship, Adrian finds himself consumed with possessiveness. And he can’t help but wonder if is it true love that motivates him? Or is it the need to own her stunning beauty? He must find the answer before their tempestuous romance breaks both of their hearts
A Most Demanding Mistress is part of the Fashionably Impure Series and is best read after Miranda’s Dilemma.
Reader advisory: This story contains frank sexual language and general bedchamber naughtiness. Abuse issues are alluded to in the backstory.

He’s an art thief on the run...with her heart

Look closer, into Hotel Totally Five Star Venice, where art curator Monique Le Bres has just
walked through the doors of the newly opened swanky luxury hotel to assist with their art
collection.

Alessandro Bonnard, the world-renowned art connoisseur and collector has been sent incognito to supervise Monique and oversee her acquisitions for the hotel.

Concealing his true identity, Alessandro is intrigued by the art-loving vixen with an appetite for kinky sex. He pursues Monique, charming her at every turn — taking her to places she’s never been — both in and out of bedroom.

Monique falls hard for the man who has utterly captured her body and soul. Only to find out he isn’t who she thought he was after all...he’s an art thief on the run...with her heart.

Excerpt:
Smiling, the hotel clerk handed her the large gold room key.

“Signorina Le Bres, benvenuti a Venezia.” She welcomed Monique warmly. “Signor Amatus will be here un momento to escort you to your suite.”

The mix of English and Italian words was enchanting to Monique, so far from the small dirt filled town back in Kansas that she’d dragged herself out so many years ago where the only foreign language spoken was pig Latin if you were lucky and grow up on the right side of the tracks. Monique hadn’t even been that lucky, the rusted out trailer she’d shared with her mother couldn’t have been further from the right side of anything.

“Grazie.” Monique took the gold key, noting how large and heavy it was in the palm of her hand.

Almost ominous of what lay ahead. No slick electronic keys at this hotel. No, this was one hundred percent Italian luxury. The key began to heat in her grasp as she glanced around for the man who was supposed to greet her.

The elevator door dinged, catching her attention.

Monique’s mouth dropped open. A good looking twenty-something man dressed in employee issued suit exited. His robust laughter had caught her attention with his momentarily flirtation with a sexy young woman dressed in the hotel uniform that made Monique smirk as the man patted her ass when he passed. A first rate flirter for sure, she made a mental note to steer clear.

Monique’s smirk turned into a frown as the man kept walking straight towards Monique.

“There he is, Signor Amatus,” the clerk behind the counter called to Monique while she stood somewhat transfixed as the flirter approached. He really was young. Could he really be her supervisor? Not at all what she’d been expecting. Maybe mid twenties if she was generous.

Barely legal age back in the states and good ten to fifteen years younger than her she was quite sure.

“Ah, Signorina Le Bres...”

“Yes, I am Monique Le Bres.” She extended her hand. He wasted no time sliding it into his and reaching it to his mouth. Pausing before kissing the back of her palm, his gaze stayed fixed on hers.

“Incantanto,” his words almost a whisper.

These Italian men were skilled at the art of flirtation; there was no denying that. But the sooner she made it clear to him that she was all work and no play the better it would be for both of them.

“I am Donovan Amatus, please allow me welcome to you to Hotel Totally Five Star Venezia. I am sure you will be molto comfortable here.”

The wicked glint in his eyes made her blush and fume at the same time. “I’m the new art
curator,” Monique scrambled to say something, trying not blurt out what she was really thinking.

That it was actually both flattering and maddening all at the same time to be flirted with by this young stud with the wandering eyes only moments after her arrival at the hotel.

“I know, si. Art Curator,” he said, releasing her hand but not before running it lightly over his lips.

“I will be your liaison while you are here, answer any questions you have. Work with you side by side. Fianco a fianco,” he repeated the words in Italian, his tone so intimate that she was lost for a moment as she studied his nametag.

Donovan Amatus, Del controllo qualità.

Quality Control Manager. A vague memory of her letter of employment and that name stuck
in her head but she was damned if she could reconcile the young man in front of her with
her supervisor. Surely there had been some mix up. This young man couldn’t possibly be
supervising her and the forty million euro budget the CEO had entrusted her with.

“The key Signorina?” he prompted.

Speechless she just stood there.

“La chiave, the key, per favore?” He repeated and then reached to take the key from her grip.

“Follow me Signorina Le Bres.”

“Oh, please call me Monique.”

“You Americans are so friendly,” he said with a smile as he led her toward the elevator, placing his hand firmly around her waist.

Summoning her most professional demeanor she slipped from his hold and stepped into the
elevator.

“I am sure you will be very happy working here at the hotel Totally Five Star Venezia.” He said as he punched the fifth floor button.

Monique tried to focus on what she was there for, her dream job and not the leering eyes of her so-called supervisor. “Yes, I’m sure I will. Mr. Conroy’s letter of employment said I could start to work tomorrow.”

“Assolutamente,” he confirmed. “Tomorrow. But first I show you your room, bene?”

Archangel. A musical angel hiding in the dusty, smoke-filled London clubs, she performs with reckless abandon. Few know the woman behind the mask she adorns.

Mary Tudor, twin sister to Amadeus Tudor - a well-known rock star- has all but given up her
up and coming photography business to become the personal photographer, and fiancé to
Daniel Kennedy. Daniel, a world renowned violinist, is one of the few who knows Mary's secret.

Together they scheme to devise a way for her to fulfill a secret dream.

Postponing their wedding until after Daniel's much anticipated European tour, Mary juggles
many jobs. One however alludes her every month. Motherhood.

Making unannounced, surprise appearances during Daniel's tour, the mysterious Archangel
rules the concert stage. Suddenly everyone wants to know who this masked woman is. Fans clamor for more, the press want to know every detail about her, and a few others are sure Daniel Kennedy is quite aware at who this phenomenon is. And if that weren't enough drama, a sinister enigma from her brother's past threatens both her future and her life.

Will Archangel's identity be revealed as planned, or will the chaos of Amadeus' past catch up to them?

Excerpt:
Donning my mask I walked next to him in silence. Peering out through the curtains I could see the wall of fog rising. I waited for Danny's cue, his playing to begin. As he did, I stepped out from behind the curtains and into the fog.

The mystique fit the rock number perfectly and by the time the stage cleared all spots were on the two of us. All our hours of practice had come down to this one moment. Our playing meshed perfectly, flawlessly.

As Danny and Ben had pretty much put the skids on letting me make my entrance through the audience this time. This stalker or whoever he was. Don Roberts. A part of Amadeus's past, not mine. I needed to be in charge here, and not let some person who had a beef with my sibling try and intimidate me.

Launching into the Paganini number I turned away from Daniel and started towards the set of stairs leading down to the audience. Walking down into the crowd, I made my way up one of the aisles. I knew Ben or one of his guys was behind me. They were so close I could just about feel the body heat.

I walked to the top of the section and cut across to begin my trek back to the stage. By the time I made it to the stage, Danny and I would have plenty of time left until the ending of the piece.

After that Ben could help me make my great escape.

It was on the final path towards the stage. Things became a blur. A face, an arm reaching out, grabbing me. Ben and his guys all around me. I vaguely recalled being whisked away into Danny's dressing room, never getting to finish Paganini. But then Paganini had a flair for the dramatic, and this was certainly that.

The next thing I was truly conscious of was being in Danny's dressing room changing out of my outfit. A knock at the door and Ben entered, a very stern look on his face. Danny of course was finishing his show.

"What happened?"

"He tried to grab you as you were walking back to the stage. You don't remember?"

"Vaguely. I was focused on the music and getting back onto the stage at exactly the right time. Then I saw this man-his face-his hand reaching out to grab me."

Jamie will be giving a $20 Amazon/BN gift card during the tour!

Excerpt:
Jarronn shifted from a tiger to his human body when he neared his brothers. When they saw him transform, they followed suit. Each of them wore black leather breeches and black boots.

Is the female prepared?” Ty asked with an eager expression as he used the back of his hand to wipe sweat from his forehead.

“She will be.” Jarronn folded his arms across his chest as he met Ty’s gaze before looking at Karn and Darronn. “Alice’s training has being going well. Already she has advanced far beyond my expectations.”

“We have little time to wait.” Darronn spit into the grass at his feet and turned his glare on Jarronn. “Our kingdoms are vulnerable without us. We must return as soon as possible.”

Jarronn emitted a low growl and clenched his fists. “Your future High Queen’s safety is what you must be concerned with now. You have suitable leaders in your realms who are protecting your people well.”

“Jarronn is right.” Karn eased away from the tree. “Once we have all mind-bonded with the maid and have ensured her safety, we can then return to our own kingdoms and seek our own mates.”

“Mates.” Darronn spat into the grass again. “What good will mates from San Francisco, not of our own world or species do to help our people?”

Jarronn narrowed his gaze. “The Sorceress Kalina has seen it in the cards. That is good enough for me and is most certainly good enough for you all.”

Excerpt:
Heart pounding and palms clammy, Catriona forced herself to put one foot in front of the other and walked into the bookshop. It was bedlam. She’d never seen a bookshop so busy in her life.
She paused just inside the door. What the fuck was she doing? If someone saw her, recognised her—

She shook her head sharply and clenched her fists until her fingernails dug into her flesh, the nipping pain bringing her back to her senses.

No one would recognise her, she reminded herself, because no one knew who she was. Well, people knew who she was—but not in relation to the reason she was here.

Taking a deep breath and attempting to behave like a normal person, she continued through the shop, trying to figure out where she needed to be. Not that she even needed to be here at all. It was insanity that had drawn her out of her Thames-side apartment and into the bowels of the Tube, and finally into the huge Piccadilly bookstore.

What else but insanity would make a person head into central London to buy a copy of a book on the same day it came out? Especially when one already had a large box of copies of said book stuffed into the bottom of one’s wardrobe. Complimentary author copies, according to the note from the publisher.

Maybe it was curiosity, she thought, as she joined the back of the queue snaking across the ground floor of the shop. Nobody nearby was holding a copy of the book yet, so she assumed that somewhere between here and the till there was a stack of the paperbacks, ready to be picked up and paid for. And presumably read. Christ.

Surreptitiously, Catriona pinched the back of her hand. Wincing, she figured she had to get her head around this situation, and fast. It was only going to get bigger and crazier—or so the publisher’s marketing team, a bunch of young, attractive and scarily glamorous people, had told her.

She’d already seen plenty of evidence of their expenditure on the way over—billboards, bus shelters, ads on the Underground; all displaying huge versions of her book cover, proclaiming it a bestseller, quoting stellar reviews and even lauding it “the next big thing” and “the next Fifty Shades of Grey.” One strap line even said “Who needs Christian Grey when you’ve got Eliza Dickinson?”

It was the fact that her book had even been compared to the first big thing that she couldn’t quite grasp.

The Fifty Shades phenomenon had spawned merchandise, sex toys and even a film. But it was just a one-off, wasn’t it? Something that couldn’t be replicated, shouldn’t be replicated.

Catriona certainly hadn’t set out to write a book to appeal to the same readership. All she’d done was take out her real life frustrations—both sexual and otherwise—on the keyboard of her laptop. The rest had simply been a freak of nature.

How could it appeal to the same readership, anyway? Her characters were the complete opposite of E.L. James’—her lead female, Eliza, was a dominatrix, and Leon her willing sub. Or he was by the end of the book, anyway.

It didn’t matter. None of it mattered. Her book was out, today, and what happened next was completely out of her hands. She should just relax and go with the flow. Though she still couldn’t get over the fact that people were not only buying her book—they were queuing to buy it. Patiently, too, despite the glacial speed at which they were moving forward. Did they only have one till open, or something?

People had joined the line behind her as she’d been ruminating, and she shuffled around slightly so she could see how many more were waiting. Shit—there were loads! She couldn’t even see the end of the queue.

Her surprise must have shown on her face, because the man behind her let out a chuckle. “It’s crazy, isn’t it?” he said. “All these people waiting to buy a book when we could have purchased online—probably cheaper—and had it delivered directly to our doors. Or in a single click, have it appear on our eReaders.”

Catriona hadn’t even thought of that. So, not only were people here, in the bookstore—and presumably stores all over the country, too—they were buying online, loading up eReaders… all for her little book!

Welcome to the Zen Lounge, twenty-one floors of customizable carnal pleasures to fulfill your wildest fantasies. Even in the year 2192, it shouldn't exist but Voryk Kade simply couldn't ignore the urge to take a closer look. What he finds is a woman bent on ruining everything he'd ever believed to be true. She holds the key to all of Voryk's darkest, neediest desires and despite her silence, provides the proof behind his belief that there is something far seedier going on under the high-end gloss of professional eroticism.

Enlisting the help of his closest friends, Voryk's only goal is to keep Nexlana safe, naked and his. Unfortunately, she was already someone's favorite pet and when Master comes calling, it’s with a vengeance and the intent of never letting her slip away again. Haunted pasts continue to resurface, only Nexlana's might be far deadlier than any of them could have guessed—connections between her, arson, an assassination and a cold case no one ever wanted to delve into again. To stop the worst case scenario from taking place, they must finally figure out just who in the hell the Master really is.

1.What is your story's heat level? How do you approach the sex scenes?
Steaming hot, but then, I'm probably a little biased.  There's possibly less sex scenes in my book then in others, but they are definitely memorable! Sex scenes, just as any other scene, depends on the characters.  I don't have any set ritual or preparation for them.  Typically, they develop just as organically as the rest of the book, but sometimes I have to really tap into my creativity in order to amp up the heat level, and keep the scenes from feeling too cliché.

2.How do you maintain activity as a writer when sitting at a desk all day?
I got in the habit of walking every day, but since winter came around I've been slacking on that. I always have housework or grocery shopping that needs to be done, so I do step away from the desk throughout the day.

3.What is it that you loved about the main characters in your story?
I love Voryk's unapologetic personality and Nexlana's unyielding, inner-strength.  Mostly, though, I love that they wouldn't let me complicate things between them.  Neither one of them over-analyze or fight against their feelings too much.  They are fiercely together and they will tear the world down to keep it that way (even when Voryk has his idiot moments).

4.What do you feel is your strongest type of writing? Humor? Angst? Confrontation scenes? Action? Sex? Sensuality? Sweet Romance? And why?
Oh, boy. I'd like to think I'm equally great at all of the above, but the truth is probably that the humor, action and sensuality comes much easier than the rest.  My characters tend to be naturally sarcastic (can't imagine why), and I love action too much to ever leave it out, which means the angst is always there, as well.  Writing the confrontational scenes, though, can be just as difficult as constructing truly outstanding sex scenes.

5.Are you social media savvy? If so what do you suggest for others? If not, why not?
I was never social media savvy before, but I've always been computer literate and that makes it easier.  My suggestion to others would be to make sure you have a presence wherever there's a platform readily available, but don't burn yourself out on the small stuff like Pinterest and Tumblr.  Focus your attention on places where you can actually interact with your readers, like Facebook, Goodreads, Twitter and your blog.  Be yourself, but in a more professional manner than you would be with your close circle of family and friends.  Before you hit “send” or “publish” on anything, remember that once it's online, there's no getting rid of it.

My biggest problem with social media is that it takes up a lot of time and when I'm going really well with my writing, I tend to ignore it. So, I'm still struggling to find a much better balance between the two and all of the rest of life, on top of it.  In this day and age, though, social media is not only vitally important for building and maintaining your fan base, it is the best marketing strategy you have at your disposal and 90% of it's free, so why wouldn't you use it?

6.What are some things from your life or things you have observed that you've infused into your stories?

Definitely my relationships with my family and friends.  We are a crazy, eclectic bunch and I'd have to say that most of my humorous material comes from them or my interactions with them.  I have shamelessly written my friends into some of my characters and they're okay with that.  My passions like music, art, ancient cultures and mythologies also play a huge part in my books.  The things that I admire about others and wish I could claim as my own.  It's really all about the characters.  No matter what inspires my particular works, I guarantee it shows through them, be it the main protagonists or sub-characters, because without the depth and complexity of the players and their interactions, the stories are just...blah.

7. If you had an unlimited budget, where would you like to visit for story-related research?

I would be a jet-setter, ha!  There are so many different places, cultures and mythologies that are tied up in my various works that it would take me ten years to visit them all just to research first hand.  Currently those places include Iceland, the United Kingdom, Morocco, Vegas and Greece.  Oh, and Minnesota.  I know, where do the dots connect?  I guess you'll have to keep reading my books to find out!

8.Any fun facts about the research for your book?

The Zen Lounge is possibly my least researched book ever.  I really didn't want to focus too much on the technical jargon when the story seemed far more important to me.  I could have expanded on many things, but I had to decide what was most important with a word count limit.  I did have to research names of things to make sure they weren't already being used – which, my alien metal Geiloflex had to be changed from its original name, Hydroflex, because of trademark issues.

9.Finally, tell us a little about your newest release!
My new release is an Erotic Romance set in 2192.  Not so far into the future that it's 100% SciFi, but enough to allow the provocative pleasure temple, The Zen Lounge, to even exist.  Voryk Kade is a sex jaded multi-billionaire with a dark past and unusual friends.  When he meets Nexlana at the Lounge, his world is turned on its ear, and not in a good way.  With the help of his friends, Hilo and Gryph, Voryk will tear Matron City apart in order to have Nex all to himself and keep both of their haunted pasts from rising up to give his worst enemies the ammunition necessary to crush them all.

The Zen Lounge really has a bit of something for everyone, full of sensuality, high-tech, crime, suspense, witty banter and of course, those deliciously naughty sex scenes!

Excerpt:
Closing her eyes for a moment, she shuddered, and then grabbed Voryk's hand and placed it on her throat, running it down toward her chest.

“Yes, it's warm,” he said aloud what she could not.

When her eyes opened on his, Voryk noted that his blood was also very warm.  Under the palm of his hand, her heart beat a little faster.  In her ethereal eyes, a familiar beckoning called out to him, igniting his own need.  Taking the wine from her, Voryk leaned forward and returned it to the table.  This time, he didn't sit back.  Her pulse throbbed beneath his fingertips, as he turned his head just so and buried his face in the silky texture of her hair, in the scent of it.  Slowly, he ran just the tip of his nose over the soft flesh of her throat, his fingers curling around the nape of her neck before he grazed the same line of flesh with his lips.

Her pulse skittered and raced, stirring his blood even more, kicking his desire into a sizzling temperature.  He loitered at her jaw, using lips, tongue and teeth.  Though she was silent, her breath was warm and choppy in his ear.  Leaving a trail of kisses across the hollow of her cheek, Voryk found her mouth.  That mouth, he thought again.  God, that mouth.
