I Have a Dream
Today is the 50th anniversary of Dr. King's speech, given on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. I've been to the Lincoln Memorial and can honestly say it's a wonderful place--inspiring with a beautiful view of the Mall. A few days ago I read an interesting story on BBC about the Race Riot that Never Was. Insightful to say the least.
I won't go into a debate on Dr. King's dream. That's not what this is about. It's about bringing us all together. That's what it should be about. So on this anniversary, let's think about that. Let's think about how to get us all together no matter where we come from, who we are, or what we look like.
