Why are they always the hardest? i've spent all weekend on the first 4 chapters of my new story, Flowers in the Tower, and I'm still not happy with Chapter One. I know what the problem is-I don't know my characters well enough in the first chapter to really do them justice. Starting about mid way through the opening arc, I geta seeper feel for them.
Still, I seem to spend an inordinate amount of time refining that opeing chapter.
Is it just me?
