Christians combined it with All Saints' Day or All Hollow's, (November 1) making October 31 All Hallows' Eve
So now you know the Regency sect didn't celebrate Halloween like we do. And boy do we celebrate! According to the History Channel, Americans spend about $8 Billion a year on Halloween--costumes, decorations, and candy. Eight billion! I wonder how much we spend on something like 4th of July.
