Blog Hop Day 4

Coffee Beans & Love Scenes Ten Days of Giveaways
Winner Day 3: Robin D!

Keeping it fresh. When  you blog everyday it's hard to think of things to talk about. I could talk about politics...um no. World news is on the depressing side anymore. I could talk about my favorite TV shows, but they're few and far between. (Hawaii Five-O, NCIS, Dancing With the Stars when I can fast forward through commercials)

Let's talk about that--what are your favorite shows? And does anyone know what new ones are popping up this fall? I'm usually up on that in the slim hope there will be one I'm intersted in.

And here's the big question: When turning on the TV for background noise only, what do you turn on? A specific channel? Or a show you have on the DVR?

You're part: follow my blog and comment on each post to enter the daily drawing for a free download of one of my stories. (You must do both to enter, but following once is perfectly acceptable.)
My part: Post short fun little blogs for you to comment on and give away one free download, winner's choice, of any of my stories.

  1. I'm a GFC follower. I don't know what new shows are coming this fall. And I don't usually turn on the TV for background noise. If I do anything for background noise it's usually music from my laptop. As for my favorite shows, I try not to watch TV too often but when I do I'm usually looking for Criminal Minds, Chopped, Say Yes to the Dress or Cupcake wars. Criminal Minds, Say yes to the Dress and Cupcake wars are all shows that my grandma got me turned onto.

Actually, the TV is on most of the time in our house. It is normally on Fox News when my daughter is not around. When she is around, she turns on Tom and Jerry or Batman--the old series. She lives for the reality shows, and I like some of them. But I am generally watching TV--kind of--and doing computer stuff.

  3. Krista,

I'm a GFC follower (Renee Rearden). As for the fall tv lineup, I haven't been paying attention to what new shows are starting. I have my favorite mainstays. I LOVE Fringe. The Walking Dead. Warehouse 13. Alphas. Eureka. True Blood. Spartacus. Game of Thrones. Haven. (Wow, that's a lot of tv...thank goodness for DVR!). When I turn on the tv for background noise, it's always the Discovery Channel, History Channel or Nat Geo. Of course I get interested in the show, start listening, and inevitably learn something! =D And then there's alwyas the SyFi channel...

  4. Jessica, I haven't eve heard of some of those shows! Too many channels any more I think, but Cupcake Wars sounds fun! I do so love cupcakes. :)

Ruth, I usually watch CNBC for the news, I like their financial reports but in this economy it's usually just depressing. I LOVED the old Batman, though suspect if I watched it now I'd be disappointed in a childhood memory.

Renee, I LOVED The Walking Dead! And despite my initial resistance to watching it, I can't wait for its return. Same goes for Game of Thrones, wow a fantastic show, though I'm not sure I'll read the books. The keeping the name straight thing ahs always been a problem. And I see we share a love of both SyFy and History Channel!
